I got this for an assignment for class where I am having my Freshmen write letters to their future self. This was perfect for both handing out, and then storing again for safe keeping until I can give them back to them their Senior year.

This is your basic #10 envelope. It doesn't have security backing so you can see through it, but it works for what I do. The adhesive and durability is good, I've had a handful of returned mail while using them and they held up very well through the round trip in the postal system. Great price for the quantity!

This is a plain white envelope with a gummed flap. There is nothing that stands out about this envelope and that is what I like about. The white is nice and bright without any shade of grey or yellow. The paper quality is 28 lbs which means it does not look flimsy. It is a business envelope, so it does not have the security pattern on the inside. The gummed flap works well: when you wet it, it sticks very well without bubbling or curling. The Amazon description of the envelope states that it is a "white wove". I am not sure what that means and I thought it would have some sort of a fabric weave texture but it is not (paper is smooth and plain). It is a great envelope for the price.

After going through about 300 boxes of these I feel I can definitely give feedback worth reading.Quality on these is normally good, once in a while you'll run into a box with limited glue on the flaps, or in my case sometimes none at all. Have only ever seen one box damaged to the point of no use.These go through a machine, so they're not done by hand as well. I can say 100%, these leave an insane amount of powdery residue after heavy usage and will likely cause you to have to clean your sealing machine regularly, otherwise risking damaging it.Now, at the price it used to be, this was a good buy. That, being 10.99... After it had rose to 15~16, it was still considered a decent choice or alternative to some, but now it was starting to get disputable. As of 9/25, I now see the price has hit 19.50, directly sold by Amazon. Inflation or not, this is extremely not worth the price. The quality offered is no where NEAR that price point, you will never get consistent sizes, consistent flaps, any of it.My overall take is, if you see this above $16.00, please look for other options. Sam's Club offers GREAT envelopes through their main brand. Peel and seal #10's for merely $15 a box (Did I mention they're also security tinted?) and Lick/Seal for only 8 a box.On top of this I've spoken to many paper producing companies, which will produce envelopes in bulk if you are a bulk buyer. And the price was still undermining this one, let alone the custom order quality is NON comparable.I refuse to let a low quality paper company try to sell at high quality prices without at least offering my full opinion. I hope this helps someone.
