These were the wrong size. I sent these back for replacement and they were perfect.

I put these on my condensation dump from the compressor. The quite it down a bit, more just muffle so it's not as harsh a sound. They also do a decent job of keeping any gunk that glops out from the tank inside the muffler.

It's sure made my compressor run quiet but choked it out so much that the compressor ran continuously and wouldn't stop trying to reach my pressure setting. Once I looked at it closely, the whole baffle is closed off. Not sure how it's supposed to let air out or in. You could take a plug or cap your motor intake completely off and get the same effect.
