I got this pen set for writing in a very special antique-looking journal. What surprised me most about this pen set was how long the ink lasts. I was a little dismayed by the small size of the ink bottle, but I was able to write a whole page and more with just one dip into the bottle.The wooden pen feels very comfortable in my hand. The quill pen is less comfortable; it's heavy, and the decorative metal area falls in an awkward place in my hand that makes writing more difficult. This might vary depending on the size of your hand. It does write smoothly, though.Either pen will fit in the included pen holder, which looks impressive sitting on your desk. The sealing wax and seal work well; however, the seal design, an owl, is not very distinct. I wish they had chosen something simple and clear.I have not tried the other assorted nibs that come with this set.Overall I'm pleased with it.
