This is a thread chaser NOT a thread cutter.A little like cutting copper pipe, apply some pressure give it a few spins. Apply more pressure and repeat as needed.Seemed like a reasonable selection of thread pitches for large diameter stuff.

The production cost is low and not worth the money. If you buy it to clean tread on big studs, don't waste your money. My mechanic was very disappointed. We really hope it works!

I purchased this tool to repair threads on an anchor bolt for a street light. It kinda works but not very well or at least for what I was doing. The repair quality of the threads was poor and the tool kept slipping off. There were no instructions with the tool either. I would not recommend purchasing this tool.
