While this won't stand up to bits that are far more expensive, for routine homeowner type use it has performed very well for me. It is packaged well by the manufacturer (plastic sleeve plus a bubble wrap tube) to avoid damage in transit. Sharpness out of the package was very good, and has held up well. The shaft is square and true.For the price, a very good value for homeowner use. Five stars.

I bought this to drill through 6x6's to use 1/2 carriage bolts to secure my railing post. I just missed my return window "go figure" but i went to use it for the first time and its visibly bent out of the package. I hand bent it to get it close and compared to other bits ive used it feels soft and not case hardened properly as it should be. It feels sharp in the hand and ill try it but being bent its likely going to remove too much wood. This is one of those cases where you get what you paid for and i got burnt on this one.

I ordered a 1/2 bit. they sent me 12MM close (.472 inch) but not what I needed. The drill itself works great.

I have drilled through 3 parallel joist (~300-350mm) to tie them and this worked brilliantly drilled so fast.
