This is the perfect size drill bit for toggle bolts, this style is a bit much to go through drywall though. This is specifically designed to quickly bore through wood and eject all of the sawdust and wood chunks out of the way to go quicker, so it's going to make a mess, but it will go quick, the tip is made to literally pull it though the wood.

I tested this drill bit out on both pressure treated pine 4x4 material as well as some oak and it performed very well in both cases. The design of having the screw tip pulls the bit through the material so much easier that just a typical spade bit. The 1/4" hex shank provided me options to use the bit with a drill driver and or in a standard chuck. After 20 holds drilled into each the bit still retained its sharpness and would appear to be one that will work for a long time. I like that the bits were packaged individually in separate plastic sleeves, ensuring that before I got them they would not be subject to any impact damage. the plastic sleeves are also reusable so it will offer continued protection of the bit for years to come.

I thought I was running these fast enough. I was going over 2K, but they kept binding up and wanting to pull up the work piece halfway through the hole. I thought, well maybe I'm going too fast? Nope, it bound up immediately. I'm not super experienced with the drill press, so it could definitely be user error, but this was my experience with these bits.

Well made augers. Drilled right through a 4x4 oak post with ease and no sign of dulling after four holes. Nice big chips, indications of sharpness. The pilot effectively keeps the drill centered. Quick attach feature to accommodate impact drivers is most important to me.For the price, these drills are a solid buy, I recommend their purchase.

These are standard auger bits. They are 6-1/2" long. Each has its own plastic case. 1/4" shank for use in most drills. Useful for any type of around the house project. Nothing fancy, just useful bits.

These bits are great examples of this style of drill bit.The excel in creating clean holes deep into wood. It worked well at a higher speed on my drill press going into some walnut timber I was working with.The bits arrived sharp and ready to go with a light coating of machiene oil to prevent rust while in storage.I feel the cost/value ratio is good and I am happy to have these in my toolbox.

These are good and make really nice and clean holes.We drill nail holes in 2x2's for fault lines at the range.The high quality steel will make these last a long time.
