Still jams up and such like other presses, but it handles hard crushing well and is much easier to clean due to its design. The splurge in price is well worth it especially if you’re like my wife and just love garlic an unhealthy amount.

I have long struggled on my quest to get the perfect garlic press. So mundane, but so important. I found one good product decades ago that was cast aluminum solid construction and it worked well. Unfortunately, the rivet holding the handle to the base broke and I was forced to put a bent nail to hold it together. It worked, but it looked pretty pitiful. Models appeared along the way, but could not measure up to this solid purchase.Along came the Roesle products. I had purchased a peeler that was solid and well constructed. So I opted to finally replace my old press for its version. It also featured a "cleaning" option.This product is spectacular! It is not only solidly constructed as a stainless steel press, but the pressure I am able to exert on the pressing action is so much better... it has a better mechanical advantage than my treasured older one. Moreover, the cleaning option is simply a movement of the straining part of the press to be available for direct cleaning. So the difficulty removing the leftover fibrous part of the clove is eliminated. The material can be easily rinsed off (or in some cases the material can be easily added to the stew pot if appropriate). The archaic effort to unclog the micro-holes of my old press with a toothpick or needle simply goes away. Any remnants stuck in the holes of the exposed part will reliably wash off in the dishwasher.Trust me that it is worth the price if you regularly use garlic like we do. No more of the, "Jeez, should I add another clove or two" decision. It is so easy, you make the right choice every time. While I don't go to the extent that some have said about not peeling the clove, I do at least cut off the attachment end of the clove (and then you can leave the paper on the clove) before putting it in the press.I am a happy Roesle garlic press user!

This is the best garlic press I have ever owned. It thoroughly presses the garlic cloves and is fairly easy to remove garlic. Also easy to clean.

I bought this to replace an older cast aluminum garlic press I have that can be difficult to clean. I liked that it was stainless steel and dishwasher safe, that it opens up for easier cleaning, and has the built in scraper.The scraper works fairly well, and being stainless steel I can run it through my dishwasher and/or open it all the way for easier cleaning.The downside -- garlic still sometimes gets stuck in the perforations, and it still requires a bit of scrubbing even before being put in the dishwasher.Still an upgrade.

You can drop garlic cloves in it without peeling and it works just fine. Easy to clean. Metal AF. Love the umlauts.

WAY over priced for the quality. It does an average job pressing garlic, but is miserable to press ginger or turmeric with, despite the advertising.It is very hard to squeeze fully closed, had to use the counter for leverage.It is not at all easy to clean as the scraper feature serves no function other than to push bits into the nooks and crannies of the hinges which are not easily washed out.Do not recommend

I have always been one to find niche kitchen gadgets to be unnecessary luxuries that are often more time-consuming to clean than they are time-efficient to use. Never in 100 years would I have purchased myself a garlic press, but when I got this one as a gift,I changed my mind. This device is so well-built and easy to clean. It also happens to be one of the most ingenious and elegant products designs I’ve ever seen. I now have bought this garlic press as a gift for 2 people and I will continue to give these as gifts!

Ce presse ail est cher mais la qualité de fabrication est à la hauteur. Il presse l'ail à la perfection et dispose d'un système pour racler automatiquement. Il est assez lourd du à la qualité, très facile à nettoyer je pense que c'est un achat fait pour des années de tranquillité.
