I prefer this compact model over the standard size Rabbit electric corkscrew.The cool part of the standard size Rabbit is it is fully automatic and requires very little strength or effort. It automatically turns on when you place it on the bottle. There are no switches to deal with. The Rabbit pulls the cork from the bottle and then reverses to remove the cork from the corkscrew, all without intervention. All you need to do is hold the corkscrew and wine bottle steady. There is a small eject button that resets the corkscrew when it gets stuck.The problem was after a few years of heavy use my standard size Rabbit stopped working. I was able to fix it several times (by resoldering broken wires and repairing internal micro switches) but ultimately the corkscrew stopped working. The main sensors failed to turn the unit on and the eject button no longer worked either.So I bought the newer compact Rabbit electric corkscrew. It's not fully automatic yet still requires very little strength or effort to use.The first unit I purchased was defective. It would not pull the cork out of the wine bottle and the LED's did not light. Bad QC. My second unit is working flawless though.I like the design and feel of the smaller size. It's great to have the option to store it on the base horizontally or vertically. You do have to push a switch to activate but this design is a lot less likely to fail over time. The switch is integrated into the grip and covered in rubber so it will never wear out.Push down on the switch to pull the cork out of the bottle then push up on the switch to remove the cork from the Rabbit. The green and red LED's let you know it is working properly and it is requires very little strength. Once again just hold the corkscrew and bottle steady and the Rabbit does the rest.

We replaced another brand which just couldn't get the corks out. This corkscrew pulls even the most stubborn, tight corks. For this reason I've rated it a 5 star. Pulling corks is the reason I bought it. I wish the base was a charging stand, but we only have needed to plug it in once in the several weeks we've owned it. The foil cutter is sub par, so I bought a six pack of better ones, on Amazon.

Opened maybe 3 bottles of wine before it quit working. The up function works but the down function does not.... so it's not the battery

The opener has no trouble with corks. Will see if it opens 30 bottles on one charge as advertized. Foil cutter is tricky to use thus the 4 star rating.

Very easy to use and keep charged. Pulls the cork quickly and ejects the cork just as easily.Handy stand holds it while it's on display on the table or stored away.

I have tried a couple of premium electric corkscrews and all have failed when it is a tighter than average cork so I though to try this Rabbit corkscrew as my final attempt. Well, it did not disappoint- it is the smallest, most compact and ergonomically designed and has not failed once to remove the cork where others failed. This is to me, then best on the market. It will not disappoint !!

I bought the Rabbit opener about month ago. I opened about 10 bottles of wine, after that it would no longer pull the cork out of the bottle. I charged it and tried again, still it would not work. I've heard that this particular product had problems from other people. I believe there's a defect in this product. They seller charged me $10.00 to return their product, dont think I will ever take another chance with themI called Amazon they were absolutely spectacular to deal with. Everything was handled within five minutes they've issued my refund and mailing label to get the product it back to the vendor. What a pleasure it is to buy things from Amazon they are really the best company I've ever dealt with.
