Works great. I used the smaller version of this with the circle handle and it was great, but it was short for me. I got this one and it's perfect. Great for lifting old sod out that has encroaching tree roots. I've used this to carve out holes for planting larger plants. I have OG cedars and their roots are all over the place. Carve out the hole that you want with this for the top 6" and it just goes through the soil and roots perfectly, then start digging and you can drop large root balls in without having to get in and prune out the roots to fit the plant going in.

I have owned many types of edgers over the years, and they were all hard to use on my soil. This one works like a charm, easily cutting into sod and smaller roots. It is making the job of edging so much easier. It's the perfect size for me, but someone very tall may have issues using this due to the shorter than normal handle. It's not too heavy but it feels very substantial. I highly recommend this.

I love all my ring tools, and this one is no exception. The round handle gives me leverage and control that I can't get with straight handled tools. The construction is sturdy and it's easy to clean.

I ordered it because of my frustration with roots when digging in my yard. I was digger big a ditch and pick would just get entangled in the roots. I was expecting the tool to be razor sharp but it wasn’t. I didn’t think it would work. When I put it to use, was amazed at how it cut through the ground and roots. I dug the ditch quickly with this tool. Edging the yard was easy. A few days later I decided to use a bastard file to sharpen it. It got a sharp edge and it cut through roots like slicing through butter. I have fallen in love with this tool. Recommend it highly.

Very easy to use. Works well cutting in grass & smallish roots. It's not too heavy. Someone taller might have issues using the handle due to it being a bit shorter than normal. Quality is good & should last a long time.

Good edger, PROVIDED that soil has been watered in advance to make it easy for the blades to penetrate.I am a senior, who finds the weight a bit difficult. But I am training my yard crew to use it and like the sharp lawn edges that it creates. Now I need to figure out an easy way to remove the weeds on the other side of the lawn edge, as the lawn crew doesn't like to do weeding and I am having difficulty doing it myself.

I waited a bit try out my new edger. It is a lovely tool...well made and attractive. I love the red handle. Anyway, finally I got out in the yard and tried it out. What I really bought if for was to edge along the sidewalks. And that worked great. You find the edge of the sidewalk, and the push the edger down close to the edge...just cutting the sod. I did the entire sidewalk edge and then afterwards, I just pulled away the sod that had been crawling over the sidewalk edge. It came off in a long strip. My husband did another of our sidewalks. Along that edge, the sod was thicker and harder to push through, so he was stronger and did that walk. I also made a new edge around another garden flower bed and that worked fine too. So I was really pleased with my new edger which is replacing an old gas powdered edger that was probably 50 years old!

Love this edger, it made quick work of edging, cutting roots and helping to dig up bushes. Get the longer length unless you are very petite.

Can you imagine I used to use a spade or a half moon edger to edge things?!? How misguided was I?! I am loving this crazy spiky beast of a thing. Cuts through turf like a hot knife through warm butter. Even under a stand of mature trees with all sorts of rootiness going on. Will be digging up all my lawns and then re-laying them and then removing them again, just so I can use this more.

This tool does lawn edging well. As others have said, you need to work with very moist ground, and practice the technique of pushing the edger right down, then only half lift the tool out of the ground before moving it along about half the width of the edger. Sounds fiddly but very effective once you get the feel for it. I had very tough buffalo grass that had been overgrown for years, and no other tool would have cut through the roots and stems so efficiently. I'm a small short, older woman, so If I can do it anyone can. :-)

Ce n'est pas donné mais la qualité est vraiment là , j'ai réussi à creuser des bordures dans une terre très dur sans aucun effort :-)
