I had to replace my worn out rear shocks on my 07 xterra. I picked these based on some friends getting them and their opinions. I changed these in less than 20 min. You could feel the difference in weight from the stock shocks to these. I started on the softest setting. It reminded me of an air ride. Which is nice if you are just driving around town, but i did not like the feel on the interstate. The rear felt loose. So i tightened these up to the firmest setting and the ride is prefect. Its a little bumpy around town. Overall these are a major improvement over the worn out stock shocks!

These RS9000 (Part number RS999313) shocks were bought for a Dodge Dakota 4wd, 2006 model.The vehicle selector said it was a match for this car.IT IS NOT!This shock was too short to fit to the vehicle in its fully extended position by 5 inches!That's not a little out, its down right completely out of tolerance.After some research on the internet it appears a few companies think this is the correct part for the vehicle.Advance auto's for example claims the same thing. Another reviewer there had the same issue as I have.The RS5000 shocks for this vehicle (part number RS5315) have a compressed length of 14.85 inches and an extended length of 24.05 inches.These shocks as per Rancho's own data sheet have 12.688 inches and 19.188 inches respectively.TOTALLY UNSUITABLE for this vehicle.Don't waste your time. Now to see if I have to pay to ship them back seeing as they were incorrectly specified for the vehicle or they want me to wear the cost of their mistake. Will report back after I find out.
