My good snake-proof boots have a slight leak across the top of one foot. I can’t afford to replace the boots right now, but I use them a lot camping and hiking. I ordered these waterproof socks as a temporary compromise to get another year out of the boots. The socks are a bit clownish, not what I would call attractive. But who cares? They are going to be hidden inside equally garish camo snake boots. They have an odd almost neoprene feel to them on the inside and I thought they were going to be very hot. The outer surface fits snug like slight compression. I put them on and turned on the patio spigot. Stood under it, soaking the socks from the knee and stomping around in the pooling water for a few minutes. Then came and sat on the deck for a while. They felt pretty comfortable once I got them on. I could feel a sensation in my feet of “cooling” and I thought my feet were probably getting wet. But after waiting a few minutes, I pulled the socks off and stuck my hand in to the toe. Both socks were dry inside, wet outside. I think if I had stuffed paper into the toes, it would not have gotten wet or smeared. I checked with my hand several times and turned one sock inside out. There was a very slight feel of almost condensation or something but definitely not water on the insides. I haven’t tested them with the boots yet but am planning some hikes with creek crossings in the next month. If the socks don’t perform as promised, I will update my review. First impression and test is they passed and are as stated in the listing. I wear a size 8-8.5 wide toe box hiking shoe (women size), 6.5-7 snake boot (men size). I ordered the XS socks and they are a good fit.

Got these to go clam digging. Fit well and slipped right into my rubber boots. Sock is not to bulky and they kept my feet warm. They are water proof but feel fine to wear against my skin. Now I don’t have an accuse for not going with my husband on the night clam digs at the ocean.

Went on a hike in the Narrows of Zion Park. Water does come thru the sock. Its more like a wet suit. A thin layer of water gets in and you body keeps it warm. I think it would work for steps in puddles on hikes or walking in the snow where it gets inside your boot. Not really for being fully submerged for an extended period of time. It is however very comfortable.

My dirtbike got stuck in a stream crossing with roughly 3 feet of water. While I was soaked from the thigh down, my feet remained dry, which was surprising and awesome given that it was 36 degrees outside. They’re comfortable, fit well, and perform as advertised - I will be buying more. Awesome.

I purchased and wore these for a rafting trip on the Green River Gates of Lodore for three days in cool weather last week, hoping they would keep my feet dry and thus warmer than regular socks. When these socks are wet on the outer layer, my feet were actually very cold... I assume due to convection from evaporation in the outer layer material when wet. On the inside, they kept my feet dry for 1.5 days of a 4 day trip but then one sock started lettin water in, allowing my foot to be soaking wet from water that was splashing into the raft and from standing in anklel deep water when getting in or out of the raft, so I threw them away... no use having them take up space in my kit if they weren't doing their job... In future, I'll just wear fishing waders if I ever need to keep my feet dry on a river trip, these socks were a waste of money...

These are the best waterproof socks. My husband can use for work and it protects his healing leg.

I bought two pair (1 for me and 1 for my spouse) of RANDY SUN Waterproof Breathable Knee High socks for a hike that involved multiple stream crossings over several hours. We were both very satisfied with these socks. At first I was concerned that they might not fit in my shoes because they feel thick but they actually did fit and were comfortable. I got size Medium and I wear 11.5 US shoes. They are quite snug up and over the calf but it was not uncomfortable and helped keep water out for the occasional deeper pool of water ( Do note that the product description does say “ Please note that the cuff of socks is not waterproof, so don't let water over the top of socks.” )
