It is equipped with a powerful Broadcom BCM2712 Quad Core Cortex-A76 processor, with a main frequency of 2.4GHz, 8GB memory and a regular Raspberry Pi B-type appearance.

The performance of the Raspberry Pi 5 should have been optimized two to four times, and it can compete directly with Raspberry Pi shaped Ruixin RK3588S SBCs (such as Radxa Rock 5A or Cool Pi 4 Model B) and has gained a larger community and better software support.
