Recently for Christmas we purchased the RipStik for my daughter. It is a great outdoor activity, she LOVES it. As you can see it is a board activity, so it is imperative that you buy protective wear for your kids, especially as they are figuring out how to balance on it. It is made well, seems to be very sturdy, some of the adults in the house or who have come and visited have given it a go. It is different than a skateboard, it has two caster wheels on it. The kids had a bit of a hard time the first day they tried their RipStiks out, but then we went online and watched a few tutorials on how you distribute your weight and balance and they had a blast the second day. I highly recommend this item. It has a sturdy construction, and is a great activity to encourage kids to work on core strength and balance.

This is a toy that requires a learning curve, and requires balance. It's also a little heavy even though they refer to it as their light version, but it's extremely sturdy. We actually have let our daughter use it in the house on our wood floors and it has not made any marks. She has not used it outside yet, and I'm not sure if it picks up gravel it will still be safe for the wood. Lots of fun.

The product itself is brilliant we purchased one each for our daughters and they absolutely love them.It gets them out of the house and is very good exercise.They are easy to ride and great for the whole family, our youngest girl is six and she is loving it and riding confidently on her own. Overall excellent gift for anyone and the service was great from time of order i had them in four days and much cheaper then getting them locally thankyou amazon BRILLIANT.

Great quality. My daughter uses this regularly and advanced quickly using it. She looks like a pro. She did have to build up her physical endurance as at first she tired using it. Now she uses it a long time without getting tired or having sore muscles the next day. It has some twist motion with the two pieces and some flexibility, but it is stable and durable. My daughter was 9 yrs old when she got it, now she is 10. She said it is easier to use this kind of a board than a skate board. She has never had a skateboard, so I'm not sure if that statement is true. However, I was impressed how quickly she caught on using this.

I ordered the pink RipStik Caster Board for my daughter for Christmas 2011. I was a bit concerned whether it would arrive from the USA into Perth, Western Australia before Christmas even though I ordered it in late November. Well, you can imagine my surprise when it arrived 8 days after I placed the order and it was in A1 condition - absolutely fantastic. If you are in the US, you're probably thinking "Wow, big deal" but when it takes longer than this to get something delivered from the other side of Australia to where I live, you'll understand why I'm impressed getting something from another country in less time and at about half the cost I can buy it for here. I was so impressed with the price, service and packaging that I must have told everyone at my workplace. I've just been back online and purchased a skateboard for my son.

This is well built despite being at a lower price than I saw elsewhere, and it really was as easy to use as it appeared on the commercials... for my 12 year old daughter, that is. Neighbor kids saw her using it and bought one too. Then the craze died down, and the board hangs in the garage, but that's just in our case. If you're thinking of some kind of scooter, skateboard, or other object to start a debate over the necessity of wrist protectors, I recommend this because you can propel yourself not by pushing on the ground with your foot, but just by doing that swivel motion that apparently is pretty easy and intuitive... if you're 5-15 years old.

Oh my gee golly gosh I love this thing. Got it to practice snowboarding, and it's been sweet so far. The slight downsides: cracks, divets, and random stuff in your path will give it trouble (just lean back ever so slightly and brace yourself, remember you've only got two rollerblade wheels), it works best on perfectly flat land, as it's pretty hard to cast uphill and there's no brakes other then screaming like a little girl and jumping off if you get going too fast on a downhill (I'm a 24yo gent), and finally as a word of caution be sure to keep your foot placement spot on, as placing your foot either behind the back wheel or in front of the front wheel will likely cause a looney toon fall on your bum or face as it flips out from under you. Well that was a long sentence.

Solid piece - I recommend switching the wheels out with some rollerblade wheels. Something more gel-like, as stick wheels burn out quickly.
