My Horizon Hobby 165" Cub came with a manual light controller where they tell you to rig a servo to hit the button. A total joke. This product eliminates that awful light controller and allow me to turn the navigation and landing lights on, strobe, or off with a toggle on my radio. Works wonderfully.

Tested on multiple RCs and was dead on arrival. Threw it straight in the trash. Went a different route for my lighting.

I have never written a review, but I felt the need to do so for this little guy. I needed more plugs for all the extra lights on my crawler. I read on a few posts that it didn't work for some people, and others figured out that the unit is a switch in itself. This is true, it is a switch and then some. Plug it into an extra channel and bam, lights come on and off at the flick of a switch on the controller. But wait there's more. Hit the switch once more and the lights strobe, hit the switch again and they stay on constantly. Hit the switch a third time and they go off. Super fun.

I was JUST about to tear this thing apart an solder the runs of pins together until I figured out the operation of this 'Extender'. LOL.For some reason I thought this would just extend any channel of a receiver. Buuuuuut, once it is plugged in it will not work. You have to be able to switch ON/OFF the channel you are "extending." So not realizing this, I plugged it in and had no voltage to the pins. Even directly powered from a battery there will be no voltage. Then it dawned on me this is a switch. So plugged it back into a channel on the receiver...switched that channel ON from the radio...and VOILA!....voltage, yeah!!!! Next I swapped this to the channel I wanted to use for lights and thankfully it stays in the ON position. I just switch the channel On & Off from the remote and this extender stays powered up. I have not tried to switch this extender OFF because I just want it to be a distribution board for lighting power. But to switch it OFF I think just plug it into a channel with nothing else plugged into it and switch that channel to OFF and it should switch to not allow voltage to the pins. So it took 20 minutes worth of swearing and thinking it was junk, but in fact it does work and I have been controlling my lighting as I originally had expected.

Worked great for a minute , then the cheap little wires in the inside broke off ,
