I purchased this so that I can be able to carry my laptop to the office without having to carry the docking station. It works well. I have not had any connection issues, fuzziness, or interruptions with working. I would recommend this product. I would say make sure that you match the attachment with the socket in your computer and the socket in the monitor that you’re attaching it to because there are so many different types of attachments.

Description could do a better job of identifying that the unit comes with a USB power cord. You'll need to have an extra port available for it.

Build quality is good. Works without a hitch.As others have noted, it does require a power source - via included USB-A to Micro USB-B cable.

If the C-port of your laptop is not configured for HDMI, do not get this. You will have to spend the $100 and get the adapter that will convert your laptop C-PORT to thunderbolt.
