Illumination is not as uniform as I would have liked, especially being noticeably brighter along the bottom edge. I suppose that does not matter for most uses. For astrophotography, it is useful for detecting dust motes in the optical path and subtracting them from the final image with software. However, the non-uniformity means that it cannot be used to effectively cancel out vignetting caused by the telescope optics. Otherwise, the build quality is fine and there is a wide range of brightness settings.

I ended up liking this more than expected. It is light weight. Holds a charge for a very long time. Has adjustable light settings. I am gifting these to my Granddaughters this Christmas.

I use this for diamond painting and it is a game changer! It has five light settings. The size is great for my projects. It's rechargable and easy to use. The charge lasts through a project or two with no problem. I recommend this to family and friends who diamond paint as well.

I use this light pad for watercolor reference tracing and Cricut weeding. I really like this light pad because it is light weight and love that I can USB charge it and use it anywhere without being tied to an electrical outlet. The price is reasonable, too.

Works as advertised. Had one of another distributor that had the annoying black dot pattern that was unusable for my project of photographing negatives. This unit was great with the multi-brightness settings and metric scale on the edges.
