Does the job nicely. It really turns on automatically when I raise the hood and the on/off switch is easy to find in the dark. My handle is a little too small for a snug fit, but velcro worked to fix that.

In order to install this light you will need to unscrew and screw four tiny soft metal Phillips screws that will absolutely strip and you will never be able to remove or move them. There is no reason to make the customer use four tiny screws like this.

Could not remove all screws to take it apart. Had to return both lights. Waste of time and money.

I grill all year long & in the winter at nite. These lights give off plenty of light and are easy to turn on and off. Plus they slip off easily to charge up. I've tried quite a few different grill light over the years and these are by far the best. I have a large grill so I use 2, but for a small grill one is plenty.

Ever tried to BBQ in the dark and have to juggle the flashlight to see what's happening on the pit? Welllll- NO MORE! The light turns on when you open the top and goes off when you lower it! It's rechargeable, so get it juiced up before you mount it.Installation is easy. There's a button to push to slide it off the ring that mounts around your round pit handle. Included is a tiny philips screwdriver but I used my own for a better grip. The four screws on the ring seat into metal inserts so you won't be concerned about stripping plastic. Remove the four screww, placing them where you can find them on re-assembly.Notice the instructions so you can mount the ring with the light mount groove in the proper spot. There are rubber inserts in the ring so it can grip round handle. I mounted the ring and tightened the ring to an extent so I can slide the ring the center and know the light could mount where it belonged after I charged it.Once the light is slid back on the ring, turn it on and raise the top. If it's mounted correctly, it will likg the grill. You may have to adjust it a tad to get things just right. Lower the top and it should go off. Tighten the screws and do it one more time to validate your install.Bon appettit!

I love that this grill light is rechargeable via USB-C. This is so much more convenient than batteries. The light is bright, and although my grill isn't super-wide, it lights it well enough. This is so much better than holding a phone's light to the grill to check the meat. The included screwdriver should be thrown away and not used. It's not a good size for the screws and is more likely to strip them than drive them. I had another screwdriver on hand which fit much better that solved the problem. The light is relatively easy to mount with a little fiddling. Once secured it's very stable. The light will pop on and off of the bracket easily to allow for recharging. The light also has an on-off switch, and when on, it will detect the lid going up / down and automatically turn itself on and off to conserve its energy. This is super convenient, as I wouldn't want to manually flip switches, so would likely just leave it on wastefully otherwise. There is a top plate which popped off when I was installing it. I'm not sure what its function is, possibly just styling? It should be a little more secure as it was fiddly to get back on. Hasn't been a problem since though, even with my grill cover going on and off of it.

While it cannot cover the entire grate area for my Masterbuily Gravity 1050, it worked good for me for an overnight smoking. It was bright and position sensor worked good and worked only when I lifted the door.Mounting it is bit annoying for the screw heads have to face the grill door. After the installation, the lamp itself is removable from the ring while the ring can remain seated on the handle.I find having it properly seated on the mount ring is bit annoying as it has to slide in at a very certain angle and it's easy to miss it.
