i have tried out many CD players of this type because i have had a hard time finding one that fit my preferences 100%. some minor features can be really annoying on these types of products when not done right, but this CD player is an almost perfect fit for what i was looking for.key positive features:- the volume is EXCELLENT on this player, as is the sound quality. this can play much louder than i expected and much louder than other similar players i've tried. the volume does not come at the cost of audio quality, and this player has a remarkably good quality for having built-in, mini speakers.-there is a divot where you place the disc that allows you to remove the disc easily. many other players i've tried do not have this divot, which puts the disc at risk when you're removing it as there is no easy way to handle it. this divot is a really small thing, but it makes a huge difference even just in user-friendliness.-the player can be charged and used without being plugged in. some players of this style are portable, but others require a constant corded source of power. i like being able to have a portable player so i can use it in different areas of my home (e.g. my desk while i'm working, my couch while i'm playing video games, my bathroom while i'm getting ready for an event, etc.). it also means you can take it and play CDs out of the home, for example at a picnic.-the color is beautiful and the overall aesthetic is appealing. as far as visual appeal goes, i would say this is an 8.5/10 from other comparable items i've tried. some others have a few other decorative elements that put them a little higher on the scale, but this is overall a really competitive one in the visual appeal arena.-the quality of the item is overall pretty high, for example, the hinges on the lid feel very sturdy, there is no loose threading, et cetera.-the remote works well for all functions, was easy to use straight out of the box, and the built-in buttons and display also work as expected.the ONLY minor con to this player that i have experienced so far is that the disc periodically stops spinning when it is playing. this DOES NOT affect playback - the disc continues playing audio just fine. this is PURELY a visual preference that i wish was not the case. i prefer the disc to be constantly spinning akin to a record player, as that is what these CD players are modeled after. that said, for all the other strong pros I've listed, i can't say this is a big enough con for me to take it off the top of my list of players in this style that i would recommend. overall, i HIGHLY recommend this for personal use or if you are looking for one to gift.

Item shipped quickly. It was very easy to set up and I hooked mine up to my computer to use as additional desk top speaker. I love the vintage style of it. It is also fairly compact so it fits well on my desk without taking too much room. It got s fun switch for playing cds like an old fashion record player which i thought was a nice touch. It works well and the sound is clear and the volume was impressive as well. Great overall speaker for those of us who still have CDS and have mobile music.

Egads but I love this thing so much. I'm an audiophile and have a huge collection of vinyl... but I also recently rediscovered the gigantic collection of CDs I amassed/burned between middle school and college.Enter this gorgeous little device! Not only does it satisfy my love of vinyl records (aesthetically at least) AND let me listen to my ridiculous emo/pop punk mixes from high school BUT it's also a bluetooth speaker!! Covers all my bases. It fits nicely on my desk and I can close it and put stuff on top of it when I'm not actually listening to CDs. I ADORE IT.

It's a bit on the small side to play my 45s, but it reminded me of those days and I have a lot of CDs. I would have liked to have seen in one of the other colors offered on the box, but went with purple as our area gets too dusty for white.It works well enough, though I find the sound quality is better with headphones than relaying on the speakers...definitely NOT "HIFI stereo Sound".It appears to be of solid construction, but I think the price is a little high for Nostalgia.
