True resonator tone begins with a classic nickel-plated bell brass body and RK’s own full-size hand-spun 9.5" cone. This is the same custom cone from RK’s best-selling resonators like the Swamp Dog. Thanks to the smaller body size and 24-¼” scale length, the Parlor Resonator has a slightly different voice than other metal body instruments. It has all the swampiness and mid range of a classic biscuit-style metal body, but the unique design adds a little more treble shimmer, giving it extra top-end clarity. This guitar is even prettier in person! It is heavy, shiny and has a nice sound. My first resonator so I'm no expert but it is even nicer than I expected! After doing some research I found that the price is very reasonable, too. Be aware that this is a heavy guitar, heavier than I expected but I'm sure the weight contributes to the full warm sound of it. Love it!
