Recording King's Dirty 30s Resonator delivers tons of classic style and a vintage resonator tone perfect for old-school blues and slide players. The single 0 size resonator drips with vibe, from the f-holes and tailpiece to the Wabash Blue finish. Traditional resonator sound is delivered from a hand-spun 9.5" European cone in a pedestal soundwell. Soundposts support the circle of the soundwell and the cone vibrations are free to bounce within the full cavity of the body. The f-holes are placed to optimize bass and treble frequencies as they exit the body for the perfect dry, throaty resonator tone. Whether you're a songwriter who wants vintage blues or slide sound, or a first-time player who wants something a little cooler, get traditional resonator tone in a road-worthy small body from the Recording King Dirty 30's Resonator single 0. Recording King's Dirty 30's Series gives players authentic vintage style with the reliability of modern design.

Received it for my birthday and it's a really sweet guitar. Tuning/intonation is spot on and the fit/finish is ver good. Love the blue color, Wabash Blue (RPH-R2-MBL)The only real thing I can say adverse to this, is there wasn't a 'hang tag' like I normally get from other guitar purchases, you know, the cardboard placards hanging from a string from the fretboard/headstock? (they sometimes have the date of manufacture, little blurb about the company, an advert on which strings to use etc) I also didn't get a warranty card included in the box, or any other bit of 'propaganda'The fretboard didn't have the usual plastic/cardboard cover, however, it did come with an allen wrench intonation 'tool' so there's that.Basically, it *seems* like this may have been a floor model? Someone pulled that stuff away so they could demo it to people and then they put it here to sell.Is this guitar really new?I'm going to write the Recording King people to see what they include in the box. I don't want to return it, but if this is a floor model, I'd like a partial refund for it not being a New in Box product when advertised as such.

Its beautiful and exactly what I wanted but the box was damaged. Upon inspection it looks okay without unwrapping completely for a gift. But If someone is spending almost $400 take better care of it.

This model "ticks all the boxes." A nice retro look, good fit and finish, the cone sound you're looking for, all for a reasonable price. The humbucker pickup (for which the Minnie Bucker is cleverly named) plays clean, and is useful if you think you might perform live. The pickup also adds tonal options if you use it with an amp in addition to a microphone, so it's worth the extra $50 over their "Rattlesnake" model, which does not have the pickup and has dot position markers instread of those funky tri-line markers on the Minnie Bucker. The smaller Single O size offsets the added weight of the resonator cone. Mine was a "display model" came with old strings, so I restrung it and it brightened right up. A warning: stringing a resonator guitar, with its bridge cover, is a whole new experience, and you'll have to figure out your own method for re-stringing, working the string under the bridge, over the cone and bridge saddle and up the neck. Also, when re-stringing, make sure to change one string at a time, as removing all the strings at once could cause some shifting of the bridge and could unsettle the cone (or so I'm told.)I'm pleased with this product. There are better resonator guitars out there, but for the money and its looks (I love that "Nashville Blue" too but they were all back-ordered) you'd be hard pressed to find something better, unless you happen on a one-off at a garage sale.

I love this instrument! I've wanted a resonator guitar for a long time and this one looks and sounds beautiful. I'm really enjoying it.
