I was a little worried at first because it's a bit small compared to my old one, but it holds on at least as strong and the single knob to stiffen the arm is perfect for making sure everything is lined up well.

For how much you end up paying this is a Nifty little holder. If it were any expensive I'd say the bill quality was inadequate but realistically it does this job well at the right price. The ball joint at the end that attaches to your dial indicator is a little rough but that might be fixed with some polishing or something if you want to get into that. The magnet is strong enough, won't go anywhere unless you move it but I wouldn't trust it with anything too heavy.

It's a small indicator stand which is handy to get into tight places. I would purchase it again.

This thing saved my life when aligning a bellhousing. It's very small and did the job perfect!

This was very cumbersome to use, it seemed sloppy and even floppy, just not easy to set or adjust. It was quite disappointing to see, it seemed much smaller than you thought it would be... No, seriously, I'm describing a dial indicator base. Really! Give me the old style with a solid base rod. The only thing to like about this was the red anodizing.

Easy to posistion because when relaxed, the arms move together.

It did its job, the magnet is a bit eh, but otherwise it works and holds the dial indicator stable, also doubles as a 3rd hand if you put an aligator clip on it which works waaaay better than your typical 3rd hands.

I had to return the base because the magnetic contact area was not machined correctly. The base appeared to have been "machined" on a belt sander. It was not flat/square. When the magnet was engaged the base would rock back and forth, it would not hold consistently. The articulating arm, however, did work correctly. It would have been a good product if it had been correctly made. Apparently there was no QC or inspector at the factory.

This is way too small and doesn't work with standard dial indicators.
