Green laser is the only reason I bought. It’s significantly night, like 5mw night. Pretty cool. The red laser didn’t work well at first but now it’s fine.

My dog has so much fun chasing these lights. She get's plenty of exercise. These are nice lights and work great. Just remember they use and need batteries.

Rating as 4 stars because, while they work, the green one is not fit for purpose. DO NOT USE THE GREEN one to play with your cats! It is so powerful it hurt my eyes looking at the dot on the wall 10 feet away. This is the type of laser pointer you get if you want to get arrested for trying to take down aircraft. The blue is not so bright as to hurt anyone (as with all lasers, definitely avoid shining directly on anyone's face) and it's the best one for cats because they don't see the color red very well. The red one works well too, but my cats definitely prefer the blue.

Like others have posted, these are pretty good, when they work. One of the three did not work; and by swapping parts and using known good batteries, I figured out that it is actually one of the bottoms that does not work- all three lasers work fine. Considering the price and the hassle of returning, I decided to keep the set and just swap the laser ends to the 2 working barrel ends as needed. The green laser is very bright, and I would not play with a cat with it unless the cat was in the next county. It is perfect for my needs, however. I am a home inspector, and plan to use the green one outside when talking with a client about things on the roof, chimney, etc. where I can use the green laser to point at what I am talking about. The red laser was about as bright as you would expect- plenty strong. You would still need to be careful with it regarding eye damage to anyone, including pets. The "blue" was really more of a purple- and that's fine. It was the least bright, and I will give that to my kid for playing with the cat. Regarding the tightness of the beam on these, mine did not have any halo or dispersal like others have mentioned, but they are not quite as tightly focused as a higher priced laser sight or pointing device- I found that acceptable for its intended use. I did not find the laser suitable for "space exploration". LOL At the price point I can't complain. I would rather pay 3-4x as much for a true high-quality device with quality control and higher durability, but that is nearly impossible these days. We get barely functional, and we barely pay for it. The majority goes to the landfill in short order. Such is life in the 2000's...

For how inexpensive they are these are handy just to have on standby in case you need one. The ones I’ve had have lasted for years. Provided you take the battery out of them when you plan not to be using them for a long period of time.

Update: 2 of 3 pointers have now broken in a few months. Super disappointing. A poorly designed joint causes the battery section to pop loose. Back to looking for a unit that won't break when looked at funny.Normally I look for built in rechargeable devices. But after a looong string of 'rechargeable' laser pointers that at some point fail to recharge, I'm excited that I found these pointers, where I can stick in my own (Eneloop) AAAs. I know those will recharge and never die on me (I've had some for >18 years now), so now we'll see how long the laser lasts. Before you go buy another unit, know that I kept buying almost exactly the same unit off Amazon under different vendor names. They basically open a listing, sell lasers, then when they start dying they close the listing so you can't review it poorly and they open a new listing and sucker a new group of buyers. I literally can't recommend a rechargeable laser on Amazon, period. So... yay for these XIMBI pointers (not a confidence inspiring name), which have a decent but not too powerful light.
