This replaced a jet pump fir a well about 50 feet deep. Lowered it to about forty feet (water level was about 23 feet) and it gives good solid pressure to my system.

This was the pump I needed for my application. The quality looks very good. It came with the waterproof splice kit!!! (Follow instructions & seal with rubber tape)Not indicated in the description!!! The wires were long and stripped properly and sealed in the pump motor. I added a 3rd wire (green) for the ground and wound it in with my two conductor #12 twisted wire well cable. The pump works well and delivers the volume of water indicated. My well is approx. 100 ft deep and the pump is approx. 50 ft down. submerged 20 to 25 ft into the water. I used 1 1/4 to 1" Stainless reducer 1" poly pipe ( heat poly with a heat gun)and 3 stainless USA clamps top and bottom. I have had it in for only a couple of months!! My first and only pump lasted over 35 years. Maintaining the pressure switch reverse flow check valve and and the air tank in top condition is the secret to pump longevity. Do not use a pump with a required control box!!! The control boxes fail from corrosion , component failure and lightning. I do not use well water during lightning storms. When the pump reaches cut out pressure all power is disconnected by the pressure switch saving the pump in case of lightning strike. So far so good!!! ONLY TIME WILL TELL!!

Replaced a cheap, short lived, Chinese pump. Easy to install. My only complaint so far is the supplied wiring was too short. It would be nice to have enough length to keep the slice above water level, but the supplied kit did work well. My father in law had installed this same brand in the early 80s and it lasted over thirty years. I'm hoping this will do the same.

Purchased as a replacement for a 50yo franklin/goulds 3/4hp pump. Installed in well at a depth of 200ft. Pump (RedLion 3/4hp 2 wire pump) makes 15gpm at 200ft, and has more than enough pressure to support 40/60 pressure switch. Only downside i noticed is the nylon head, but for 1/3rd the price of a big name pump, not much to complain about. So far I've had it installed for a month, and it is working as it should with no issues. If any issues arise I will update the review, but for now I would say it is a good purchase.I dont expect to get 20+ years from it like with a goulds or grunfos pump, but if it last for at least 6-8 years, I would definitely purchase again. With that said, if my well was deeper and I was not able to pull the pump by hand, I'd have probably went with a goulds or grunfos, just for peace of mind. I would definitely recommend if you are on a budget and can easily pull your pump. If it ends up lasting at least 6-8 years, I would say that for the price, it is comparable to big name brands, only time will tell.**EDIT** It is now the end of April, which means the pump has been installed for nearly 4.5 month. I'm happy to announce that it has been running strong with no issues so far! I would highly recommend this pump for anyone on a budget!

Purchased in November 2023, and it stopped working in February 2025. I’m currently reaching out to the warranty department. I’ll update this review based on how the company handles the situation.

I read that this might be a better brand than the ones sold in local big box stores for a reasonable price, I hope that's so. It replaces a Gould that ran for 24 years, but to replace with the same would have cost me 2x-3x the price. If it lasts even half as long it will be worth the money but only time will tell. The waterproof splice kit was included and worked well. It's been pumping perfectly for the last few weeks.

Like this pump! Bought it for my lake fed sprinkler system I run 4-6 heads on each zone. It’s about 10’ deep in the lake with about 10-12’ rise above the lake to get to the house/yard. Has plenty of pressure and hasn’t let me down. It’s a bit more expensive but the quality seems to be worth it! A neighbor had recommended it as well and his has been going strong for 6 years.

We bought this to replace a Franklin well pump two and a half months ago. Did the replacement myself and I've had no problems since.NOTE:I bought the wrong pump. This pump has two "hot" wires and a ground (two black, one green), my old pump had two "hot" wires and a negative (one red, one yellow, one black). The circuitry to control the pump is built into the motor so you do NOT need a control box. Having an existing control box, had to redo the existing wiring in my home to bypass the control box circuitry for the hots and and then connect the "negative" wire directly to ground. It worked like a champ.Great pressure with a 100' drop. Popped the old pump off, bought a brass pipe attachment, threaded it on with thread sealer, used the included wire splice kit to create a waterproof electrical connection, then taped the wire to the pipe as it went back into the well.I will be buying another one (or two!) of these to have on hand in case of emergencies. Great, solid product. Its hard to believe sometimes that this piece of machinery is 100' in the ground doing all that work of moving water for us. Trust me, there isn't a better deal out there for the quality OR the price.Just be clear which one you want; This one, or the "three wire" variant.

We switched to a submersible when our old jet pump died this spring.Overall the pump seems well built and I have no concerns about the quality of the build. Installation of the pump itself was straight forward. Some learnings if you’re going from a jet pump to a submersible:- there’s a good chance your current pressure tank is too small since jet pumps prefer shorter,More frequent cycle times compared to submersibles which prefer fewer, longer cycles. So budget for a new tank, and you likely need to do some replumbing to accommodate the new tank.- also don’t forget to budget for the well pump wire and tubing to use as a casing for the wire going out to the pump- finally you’ll need a GFIC in the mix for the pump as well that potentially wasn’t required for your jet pump. All in all though, worth the investment and happy with the new pump.

Replaced a 30 year old 1/2hp Red Lion pump after years of reliable service. Finally a bearing let go and it seized. Originally bought a Mastercraft 1/2hp equivalent pump to replace it as it was available nearby, junk wouldn't make 15PSI. After hauling it out again, I ordered this, at 125' of lift I have 50psi getting 6 gallons per minute even with cutting it to 1/2" line. Pump has so much pressure it actually collapsed an inline sediment filter. High quality and they have a good track record with me, I expect to get more than 30 years of service as this works less than half as hard as my original red lion 1/2HP. Arrived a week early which was a miracle since I had no water besides jugs I refilled and hauled from town. 6 stars.
