I've used a lot of different options for heat shrink connectors through the years. I've used regular heat guns, cordless heat guns, miniature heat guns and butane soldering irons that have the flameless heat nozzle. This little guy here beats them all. It's so easy and so compact and dialing the heat in is simple. It works good on heat shrink tubing, heat shrink connectors, and is especially good for the new style heat shrink and combination solder ring connectors. It's worth every penny they are asking and then some.

I’ve purchased a few of these now, same thing, they all have failed to ignite after a month of usage. They do work great while they actually working though.

It is very handy tool for those who do soldering or wiring repair for cars. It is well made. I like it because I can get it in tight places to heat the heat shrink tubing as an example.

Needed to head shrink some wires on my kid's electric ride on toys, so I needed a heat gun with the shield to protect other wires. This one is very slow unless you use it on a higher heat setting, but then it tends to burn whatever the heat reflector is touching.
