Nice quality, haven’t pushed it to its rated trip point to see if it actually protects, but its hooked up and working fine for my car amp connected to it. Installation is very easy and straightforward even though it comes with some of the nicest printed instructions I’ve seen in a very long time, with clear full color pictures even. I wish this manufacturer wrote instructions for everyone else.It includes nice quality #6 wire terminal lugs that are solid copper, wish I would have thought to order a crimp tool for these big lugs, normal crimp tools are too small, squeezing with pliers doesn’t give you a good tight crimp and I checked 5 different local places that all sell the same lugs but no one sells the larger crimping tool. Note, Amazon has some very nice hydraulic ones they sell, add a pair to your order and not only have the right part for the job but have the right tool to do the job.My only complaint, the electrical connections on the breaker itself aren’t also copper, running electricity through 2 dissimilar metals usually leads to corroded connections if you aren’t using dielectric grease or an electrical anti oxidant compound, might want to add a little tube of that to your order as well.

I got this circuit breaker to use instead of a 40amp inline fuse for a DC-DC charger on my boat. I wanted the ability to easily disable the charger by breaking the input current from the input battery to the charger.The installation was simple. It came with two mounting screws which was convenient. It also came with a set of raw copper 1/4" ring crimp connectors. This would also have been handy if they weren't for 6 AWG wire. I only need 10 AWG wire for this project. They also supplied 4 raw copper washers for the 1/4" studs. I'd prefer tinned copper but these will work well. I always use NO-Ox-ID grease on all electric connections anyway.They supplied external tooth hex lock nuts for the 1/4" posts. These are fine, but I prefer split ring lock washers. However, the external tooth nuts seem to hold well.The spring loader breaker was easy to open with the push button and was reset with a good positive click. When the breaker is open, it is obvious.I've not had occasion to test its reliability in breaking the connection if the current exceeds it 40 amp rating. That is after all the reason for having it, to protect the wires in case of a short.

I have built several solar set up and have used these circuit breakers in all of them, they have all worked as designed, they mount up easy and the fact you can use them as a switch is a bonus.

I have a prius with the battery in the back. I'm adding more after market devices up front and wanted to bring more power forward. The breaker is for peace of mind in case something goes horribly wrong. It also makes a nice disconnect when I add more to the distribution block I added up front.

Needed this for a DC-DC charger in my Conversion Van. Have to see if it's indeed "waterproof" like it says on it. And see if it trips if the AMPs go to 40A. I have a 30A DC-DC charger. The default setting is 60A (I am running it at half power) so in case it's reverted it should save my Alternator *fingers crossed*
