There were no directions or even a picture of what the finished product was supposed to look like...I just guessed and kept going. It took me about a half hour to put them things together. The longest part was peeling off the protective plastic that kept the pieces from getting scratches during shipping. If you serious dexterity issues or wearing nail polish, try to get someone else to put these things together!I'll let you benefit from my own experience with this insight:1. Work at a good sized table and lay out the disks in three columns of three plus the assorted pieces.2. Attach two hooks on one of the small circles (if it has a formal name I don't know it).3. Connect disks by attaching the hooks: one goes UP onto a disk, the other goes DOWN.4. Attach the pretty "diamond" to a small circle then thread it through the bottom of the lowest disk.5. Attach the hanging hook to the top of the highest disk.6. Working from the center outward, gently push to separate the pieces into a circular shape. Be careful-the edges are sharp.Try to keep the hangers on top, away from the now shaped product and try to keep the pieces apart or they may get 'stuck' together. The end product was really nice. We hung them up right away. I'm glad I got this and hope you will be, too. 5 stars

Metal. Bright. Shiny. Reflective. Spin easily. Easy to assemble and hang. They look nice. I would have preferred each one to be just a bit longer (maybe one more section). Unsure yet how well they work to deter birds from nesting on my deck. We shall see. But they still look nice as a decorative item. Seems like a relatively reasonable price for the materials included. I had to bend the main hook to close it a bit to prevent the from being blown off (we get some winds here).

These sparkling diamond bird deterrents are a welcome device for my orchard. I use them to keep the birds away from eating all of my berries. I wish these did not come with plastic on both sides that you have to take time to peel off, but I guess they felt the need to add that scratch protection for whatever reason.Once I finally got all of the plastic peeled off and attached all of the hooks (about 15 minutes) I was ready to hang these. I hung these from a nail on my privacy fence. They started sparkling immediately as it was a sunny day. As I mowed the lawn from 75 feet away I could see a sparkle every few seconds as these things twirled and moved around in the wind. I can see where a bird would become distracted and deterred away as these things reflected the Sun at them sporadically throughout the day.

These mobiles arrive flat so you have to bend the pieces into shape. Very thin material. Once hung in place they did not deter the woodpecker.... a waste of money.

The small box contained components for 3 wind spinners, all wrapped and padded in one bundle. Some reviews mention having to remove a plastic film. My items did not have that. Instead, each diamond was in a separate plastic envelope so none got scratched in transit. Each diamond is shiny and smooth. The top diamond rotates on the hanging hook. The other diamonds hang below, but do not rotate independently. The string of 4 looks pretty swaying in the wind.Took a while to connect the first two pieces with the tiny clips. The rest went smoothly. When I had 4 pieces connected vertically, then I expanded each diamond easily. I probably did not need to wear gloves. I did not see (or need) instructions. How to get more out of the package, maybe: I thought I could keep one and give two as gifts. Maybe, except you have packaging for just one. So you could package (and pad) the pieces for one spinner and put those in the original box. Instead, I kept all 3.The package includes 10 small clips (need 9, have one extra). I considered assembling four strings that each contained 3 diamonds. That would require finding an extra hanging hook. I was not interested enough to do that.Rating: goodMy scale: 5 star = excellent (or has a special feature), 4 star = good/ very good (does what it should), 3 star = average (or has a minor flaw), 2 star = below average (multiple flaws or does not perform its function well), 1 star = avoid (does not fulfill its mission). I rarely use the term ‘perfect’ and I rarely assign 5 stars.

These reflective bird deterrents were easy for my dad to put up in the backyard to deter birds from eating the fruit from our trees. They are pretty to look at and don't make any noise in the wind. Overall, my dad is very happy with them!

Bought these to hang up to scare a woodpecker that comes back every year. The pedal is slightly different traditional shape giving a bit or variety putting these scarers up. These are nice that you can adjust the angle of the inside customizing the look a little bit. The multi-angles seem to create more reflections hoping it will work better. Will update next year to see if the bird comes back.
