I have a similar unit from a different manufacturer that's currently selling for 19 bucks. That one has an ambient temperature (at the display unit) as well as two temperature probes for inside a refrigerator or freezer.Don't much care about that, I already have an idea what the temperature in my kitchen is thanks. Both that unit and this one are nice in that the probes will sit unobtrusively in a freezer, fridge or just in the basement or bedroom, and you can tell at a glance what the temp is, and set alarms for when the temp gets out of range. The probes from this unit do not interfere with the already reporting probes that my other unit uses, but I can tell you from past experiences with similar devices for monitoring weather outside and room temps inside that sometimes probe A ends up displaying on unit B. So when somebody's battery dies...Take the batteries out of everything on both units.Place fresh batteries into all probes from unit A. Wait a few minutes, then put the batteries into the display for unit A. When all is normal and well with unit A, repeat the process for unit B.So far this is as good as my other one. Not better, not worse, same-same. And about the same price. If you have a fridge and freezer and you don't like throwing away food, one or more of these units is a wise investment.Nice magnets to stick the display right to your fridge door, and there's plenty of signal to get from basement or garage freezer up to the main floor.
