Dynamic breaking stops the motor when the switch returns to Off. Ideal for tarp or lift applications as well as for use on hoists, hatches, winches, snowplows, intake/exhaust fans, vehicle outriggers and other reversing applications. Low-profile module saves space. Studs are securely anchored in epoxy. High performance silver tin oxide contacts assure long cycle life. Tin-plated brass studs and hardware for corrosion resistance.

My tarp stoped working and I traced the problem to the relay. I went to 3 truck parts store and no one had it in stock. I ordered it from Amazon and paid $40 less than the parts store asking price.

Installed same day received and it worked great for my CMC jack plate. The only thing I did not like was it did not come with wire diagram so I had to look up similar item that had it on Amazon picture. The side either the 3 big post I put blue wire going to motor on top, negative in middle, and green wire going to motor on bottom. The other side with 2 small post I put blue wire to switch on top, positive wire from battery in middle, positive going to switch, and green wire from switch on bottom. This set up is with the switches setup as positive feed.

I used as a marine jack relay . Mine was a an older model with 2 wires. This was a better option over auto relays.
