EMPI 98-9437-B is a 12-volt headlight relay with 5 prongs.
Compatible withVolkswagen:
- Type 1 [ Beetle / Bug ] 1967-79,

- Type 3 [ Squareback, Fastback ] 1967-73
This relay is used to switch the low beam to high beam in the headlights. It is a replacement for 111 941 583and is known for its reliability and ease of installation.

Bought this as a backup to my original 1974 Super Beetle flasher relay. Plugged it in and it didn’t switch the high-low beam circuit.

Did not work at all. Cover came off in my hands as I tried to wire it. Went back and cleaned the original, which worked. Would give it zero stars if ossoble.
