Exactly what i needed and what every drummer I think should have. Protect your bass drum heads. I used to have an thin Evans pad on my 24s and I always have to check if it is wearing out. A good 24 is not cheap so I'd rather spent a few bucks to make it last forever.Plus, I originally purchased this because I noticed a little thinning on my Rolands 14" mesh. Original Roland heads by Remo are rather pricey as well. The pads really have a good feel to them (both on my DWs & Rolands). I was concerned about the noise factor on the mesh since I'm hitting a slam pad that is not mesh but it's unnoticeable.Imo, the acoustic kick sounded even better with it.

I use plastic face beaters on my Axis pedals and stick these on Aquarin SK2 heads. Protects the head from direct contact with the beater. Nice subtle tone change, mostly the attack of the beater/pad combo. I always use these. Theyll last the life of the head.

This was exsctly what I needed to keep my kick beater from breaking through my mesh heads! It works like a charm. It seems like it is going to last forever. The stick on the back is separating from the mesh head a little, but is staying in place regardless, which is all that really matters.

I have two on a powerstroke 3. I bought them because I started using wooden beaters.I hit them hard and so far no signs of wear or damage

These work fine. They stick and don't fall off and they offer protection for the bass drum head but don't seem to alter the sound that much. They just do the job. Only thing is the printing wears off where the beater hits the patch but that's no big deal.
