This camera shutter release cable is a compact remote switch with a 90cm cable which replicates all functions of the camera shutter release button, it is used to minimize vibration for different shooting situations such as close-up and long time exposures.

Considering it's cheapness it works great for cameras that use an AUX trigger. The cable is not too stiff to wear it affects the stability of a camera but is not so thin that you know it isn't going to last long. The cable range is perfectly acceptable considering what you are doing. Installation of the unit is very simple. Very compatible with my Canon camera.

This corded remote switch controls my shutter just like the camera body shutter button. The cord is only a couple of feet long but I knew that when I purchased it. I would buy it again if need be.

I used this device and it worked quite well. My only complaint was that the autofocus feature on my camera requires me to push part way down on the shutter button prior to fully depressing it to take the actual picture. I couldn't get a sense of this using this remote switch but it must have worked because the pictures came out fine. It would be helpful if the remote came with some simple instructions but there weren't any.
