Meet the Renogy Adventurer-Li, newly improved with two advanced features. Thanks to its programmable Lithium charging voltage, the 30A PWM solar charge controller is now capable of charging most Lithium batteries available on the market. The second addition to the controller is the RS232 port, used to connect and communicate with the Renogy BT-1 Bluetooth module. By adding the BT-1 to the Adventurer-Li, you can now use the smartphone app, Renogy DC Home, to monitor and adjust your solar system remotely. Unique in its form, the Adventurer-Li is a negative-ground, flush mount controller, designed for an aesthetically clean and integrated look on RV and camper walls. However, if flush mounting does not appeal to you, an included Surface Mount Attachment allows you to forgo it. Capable of charging both 12V and 24V photovoltaic systems, the Adventurer-Li integrates highly efficient PWM charging to increase battery longevity by regulating the charge flowing from the solar panels to the battery bank. This charge controller comes equipped with a fully comprehensive self-diagnostic system and electronic protection functions to prevent damage from installation mistakes or system faults.

The Renogy BT-1 is a great addition to any compatible Renogy solar charge controllers. Powered by its RJ12 communication port, the BT-1 provides wireless monitoring of system data through the Renogy DC Home smart phone App. And allows users to change parameters when using the Renogy DC Home App.

Our RV was wired for solar, and the location for the charge controller was inside a storage compartment. While I was installing the charge controller flush on the wall in the storage compartment, I just stuck the Blue tooth module in the wall next to it, so it's out of the way. Works fine. I can read the blue tooth signal from about 50 feet away, and was nice to be able to verify each both solar panel was working while I was sitting on the roof of the RV plugging them in.Only issue is that this controller had been purchased and returned. There was a small nail hole in the back of the case where someone had nailed it to something, then pulled it back off. You get 4 stars because you didn't check for damage of the unit. Since the unit works, and you cant see the nail hole once installed, I didn't return it.

The product does work and works as they say (mostly). The issue is their tech support is pretty terrible. As a newbie into solar I should not know more than the tech people. For a little more you can get well known brands that are leaders in the industry, can do more, are more flexible, and don't have to buy it as a bundle. I returned all the Renogy products I had purchased.

RENOGY has good products I wanted this one so I could series panels on my rv to keep the amps low so I don’t have to change the oem wiring. Great for recessed mounting a little more difficult for flush mounting in a tight spot. Had to do some modifications to housing to make fit.
