I recently set up a security system at home, and this hub has made a big difference. It was easy to integrate with my existing cameras and doorbell, creating a cohesive network. The ability to expand storage is a nice feature, and knowing that my recordings stay secure even without Wi-Fi adds peace of mind. The app is user-friendly, making it simple to review footage and get alerts for any motion detected around the house. The added security with encryption makes me feel safer, knowing my data is protected. This system has really improved my home security without adding any monthly fees. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking to enhance their safety at home.

The only thing I didn't like was that I ran into an issue where the battery camera wouldn't work, because it needed a firmware update. I clicked to search for an update in the app, but it said it was the latest firmware. Without the firmware, the camera becomes inaccessible and I had to do a reset of the camera and set it up as a stand alone. The solution was to manually get the firmware pushed to each of my devices. After that, everything has been working great.Pros:-Setup was easy and simple to get all of my existing cameras connected to the hub without having to go to each of my cameras. I was able to transition them easily without having to leave my seat, with the exception of the battery cameras that needed that firmware.-It's easy to transition back and forth between the Hub's wifi network and the regular wifi network.-The hub broadcasts 2 wifi signals (2ghz/5ghz) that the cameras can connect to. What I really love is that the cameras don't need to be connected to the Home Hub's wifi in order to work. As long as the Home Hub and the wifi camera are on the same local-area network, the camera is able to store videos onto the hub.-The connection and live view is very fast. Usually, retrieving a saved video is very slow when trying to connect to the camera. However, since the videos are saved on the hub, it's very fast to be able to view and download. Live streaming has been very reliable as well and I haven't had an issue with disconnections.-There's support for live viewing from a local browser which includes HTTPS. I'm able to type in the local IP address of the Hub into my browser and watch a live view of the cameras or view playback. The only thing is that I can only watch 1 camera stream at a time.-The Hub supports encryption of the video files. I setup a feature where all of the videos on the hub are encrypted with a password. This is a really nice feature, because if the microsd cards ever get stolen then I'll know they're secure.Overall, I'm very happy with the features and reliability of the Home Hub. Great value for the money. That issue of having to manually get the firmware pushed to each of my battery cameras was the only issue I had. Afterwards, it's been working great. My other Reolink cameras that run on POE and plug-in WiFi were able to setup with the Home Hub without issues. I did use both of the microsd slots, one of them being a 512gb, and it's been working fine even with 24/7 recording from a few different cameras.

We are linking this hub with 4 Reolink cameras around our 2000 sq ft home, and it pairs well with Reolink products so far. This hub comes with a 64GB SD card, which we replaced with a 512GB SD card right out the gate. We are getting excellent quality and resolution from recordings and are able to manage everything seamless on the app. There were no WiFi issues or lag, and the hub operates even when WiFi is down, which it frequently is in our area during high heat. The device is small and compact, but versatile. It can sound an alarm when you are not home and there is movement on a camera. The cameras also back up to one place instead of 4 now.

This is a simplified NVR supporting up to 8 concurrent Reolink camera feeds. It cannot connect to LAN using WIFI so a free Ethernet port is a must, either on your router or your switch. It has two SD card slots, offering up to 1TB of storage. This should suffice if the user were to only store motion-triggered events for up to 8 cameras but obviously lacking if they're gunning for 24/7 surveillance footages. If the user falls on the latter case, I'd suggest that they look up Reolink NVR or the Home Hub Pro, the latter of which supports a larger and a more robust hard disk for storage.Connecting this device was very simple as is the case with all Reolink branded products. Odds are, the reader would have the Reolink app already. After powering and connecting the Hub, simply add it with your app and follow the on-screen prompts to add your devices onto it. Your cameras will now be regarded as separate "channels" but user experience in viewing live-streams and past recordings will be more or less, the same.Take note that your cameras will now connect using the Home Hub's own WIFI 6 network. They will no longer be using your existing home WIFI. While this may be slightly inconvenient to the user, it adds a layer of network security by grouping them with the potential to isolate them entirely from your home network. If any of the WIFI cameras were to be hacked, the hacker cannot automatically gain access to your home network in this case so FYI.Moving forward, This is a product best used for wireless, battery-powered Reolink cameras. It's not strictly a requirement as it does support limited number of Reolink PoE cameras. And in that vein, the user needs to check HH's compatibility list as not all Reolink cameras are compatible for the time being. Reolink notes that they will be adding more devices with further firmware updates. I have no doubt that they would, given the manufacturer's reputation. That said, it's not like they've provided a clear roadmap along with a list of devices to be added. So my suggestion is to hold off on the purchase until things become more clear in the near future. To close, it's a simplified turn-key approach to owning an NVR, or something close to it. SD cards have come a long way, but still nowhere near robust and reliable as those that can be counted on from spinning hard disks or SSDs. And I doubt they'll get much better from here. If the footages to be stored are deemed critical, then the user would do better with a more serious NVR solution. That said, it'd do more than fine if all the user wants to do is to make sure that the delivery person does their job properly. 4 out of 5 stars.

When it comes to home security, having a reliable and centralized system is essential. After testing the Reolink Home Hub, I found it to be a convenient all-in-one solution for managing and storing security footage from Reolink cameras. With features like expandable storage, high-definition live view, and strong privacy protection, it offers great value for those looking to enhance their home security setup. The Reolink Home Hub has a compact and sleek design that blends easily with home office or living room setups. The lightweight plastic construction is sturdy, and the simple interface makes installation a breeze. The front panel includes a power button, while the back features two SD card slots, a LAN port, and a power input.Setting it up was incredibly easy—I had it up and running in under 15 minutes. I connected it to my router, followed the instructions in the Reolink app, and instantly had access to my cameras. The biggest advantage of the Home Hub is its ability to manage multiple Reolink cameras in one place. I currently have 4 cameras connected, and the hub can support up to eight. It works seamlessly with Reolink's PoE, battery-powered, and video doorbell cameras (except 4G models). One standout feature is the built-in 64GB SD card, which can be expanded up to 1TB using two 512GB SD cards. Unlike cloud-based security systems, the Home Hub stores recordings locally, eliminating the need for expensive subscription fees. This is a major plus for those who prefer offline storage and want control over their footage.Even if the network goes down, the hub continues recording, ensuring no lost footage. The ability to quickly retrieve videos is another great feature—footage loads significantly faster from the hub compared to pulling data directly from a camera's SD card. The live view and playback experience is impressive. The Reolink app allows for smooth 4K streaming with minimal latency. Checking security footage from my phone or desktop is quick and efficient, making it easy to monitor activity around my home. The alarm system is another great addition. When motion is detected, the hub sends instant notifications to my phone and can trigger a built-in siren for added security.Privacy is also a key focus. The Home Hub features AES128 encryption, meaning even if someone steals the hub, the recordings remain protected. Files cannot be accessed or recovered without authorization, which is a major security advantage over traditional storage methods.Pros:+Easy to set up and manage with the Reolink app+Supports multiple cameras (up to 8 devices)+Local storage with up to 1TB capacity+Fast video playback & 4K streaming+No monthly subscription fees+Strong privacy protection with encryption+Built-in siren for security alertsCons:-Not compatible with all Reolink cameras (e.g., Argus Pro & 4G models)-Storage is limited to SD cards—no HDD support-Must use the hub to access camera recordings (previous standalone setup may not work)If you’re already using Reolink cameras and want an affordable, no-subscription solution for centralized security management, the Reolink Home Hub is an excellent choice. It’s easy to set up, supports multiple cameras, and provides secure local storage without relying on cloud services. While it does have some compatibility limitations and storage constraints, it delivers great value for those looking to upgrade their home security system. I think this hub it’s a worthwhile investment for peace of mind and data privacy.

This Home hub is a pretty user friendly way to centrally record from Reolink devices around the home without relying on SD cards that could technically be simply stolen from the camera itself. I unpaired my two Reolink doorbells from my NVR and tested them with this Home Hub and this does a perfect job of letting me scrub through the videos and filter by activity type.Great for smaller homes... but if you're building up a system from scratch and just starting researching a system, I would still recommend a fully wired POE Reolink system. When backed up with a UPS, it'll keep everything running even when the grid is down.

Reasons To Buy+ You have Reolink cameras and want to centralize management and video storage+ Supports up to 8 cameras+ Has a speaker for alarms and notifications+ Works with most Reolink cameras (check the compatibility list on Reolink's site before purchasing)+ Acts as wireless access point to your Reolink wifi cameras (Wifi6)+ Encrypted storage+ Two microSD ports (up to 512GB capacity per slot, for a total of 1TB) - I recommend buying high endurance SD cards.+ Includes a 64GB microSD card to get you started+ RTSP server (each camera is considered to be a channel)+ Can upload files to an FTP server+ After setup you can access it using a web browser or mobile app+ Google Assistant integration (did not test, as I don't use Google Assitant)+ Includes an ethernet cable+ Less expensive than higher end surveillance solutionsNitpicks / Hit or Miss* Signal strength to your cameras can vary based on location and obstructions* Autodetected by Home Assistant, albeit with only a few entities (hub status led, firmware status, restart action, % storage used)* Encrypted storage has pluses and minuses. The main minus in being near impossible to recover data when the storage media is corrupted. And that is an inevitability as the flash storage ages.* The user interface is just OK. It could be a lot better.Reasons Not To Buy- It's only really useful if you're heavily invested (or plan to be) in the Reolink ecosystem- You have more than 8 Reolink cameras - there is a "Hub Pro" model that supports up to 24 cameras- A max of 1TB capacity is ok for event recording, but isn't a lot for continuous 24/7 recording of 8 cameras- Needs a wired connection- While it's a wireless AP, it's an AP for the Reolink cameras only- Storage is via MicroSD card only. MicroSDs aren't as durable/robust as other types of storage. No hard drive bays or NVME SSD connectivity. Note that the more expensive Hub Pro model has a hard drive.- It's fine for what it is, which is a low cost storage device for a bunch of Reolink cameras. I don't consider the Reolink ecosystem to be a real option of you're going to be serious about video surveillance though.- Compatibility with older Reolink models might be hit or miss

Setting this Reolink Home Hub was easy with no complications at all, almost a plug-and-play device. Very smooth and fast connection to my camera. One of the most important features to me was to store and have all the footage locally, I don't want to store anything online or count on the cloud, so this home hub offers recording everything on a memory card and can take up to 1TB card. I also liked the built-in siren, it can be programmed with my smart home software to turn on or sound when the house is armed while we are away. Another excellent feature in my opinion is that I can install the Reoling software on my PC and access the home hub and camera from there.*** This product was received for free under Amazon Vine program
