Perfect replacement for existing electric eye lamp posts. Some may be tempted to go all out and attach all of the new wiring to that inside of the lamp post. All I did was remove the old electric eye by the plastic clip, then snapped the new electric eye into the existing clip; absolutely no wiring work necessary. The entire process took about five minutes.

The photo light sensor in my light post stopped working (light was always on). Picked up this one to replace it. Original was an Adjusta - Post Model 320 manufactured in January 1979 (45 years ain't too bad!). This one was the exact same size and same fit. However, I did have to wire in the new connector that came with this one as the old connector was different (see photo). I also had to use the original metal-tapping screws that held the old one in place as the ones that came with this would not work. My old one did not have a weather seal/gasket. I used the gasket that came with this and it fit fine as well. This is a good replacement option.

Old sensor was staying on 24 hours a day, replaced with this new sensor and now post lamp turns on at dusk and on at dawn as it should. Easy installation and instructions are clear.
