The bulb appeared as an exact duplicate of the original that came with my torchiere lamp many years ago, yet the light goes out intermittently. Originally, it would go off in the first 10-15 minutes and the time off was short; it would go off 2-3 times and then be fine the rest of the day. It’s been a couple of months since purchase and now it seems the other way around - it’s off more than it’s on.I’ve pushed down on it, hoping to improve the connection with the contacts, but that doesn’t keep the light on for long either. I am now looking for a replacement bulb from a local box store, where it is easier to return. (Unsure if I have the option to return this via Amazon.)When the light is on, the brightness is good, but since not on all the time when the light fixture is "on", I marked it down on that category. I marked "easy to install" down a notch, not because it's difficult to install, but that maybe it's not connected properly because it's as if it looses connection, so maybe the installation isn't good (because poorly made?).

I bought this bulb to replace a bulb in a GE torchiere lamp. GE no longer makes these lamps, but I have 3 which I like. I believe the reolacement bulb has a higher wattage rating than the bulb it replaced. But it provides me with plenty of light, was easily installed, and could be dimmed. My only negative observation is that the bulb was quite expensive, more than what I paid for the torchiere and bulb originally, and it took a fairly long time to get to me, compared to other Amazon deliveries.

This light worked great for about a month and then totally died. The bulb I had in there before lasted more like 12 years, so I guess it wasn't that great of deal.Upfate: I contacted their customer service and they did work quickly to send a replacement bulb that so far has continued to work. I'm bumping up the review since maybe I just got a bad bulb.
