Pulled my cooker apart to install a new igniter, figured since it was apart I would replace the temp sensor as well. Have it a fresh coat of paint as well... Not sure why people have issues with it, it works just fine and temp is within a few degrees of my meat thermometer.

Solid replacement. Did a 20 hour smoke the day after installing without any issues. Used a different thermometer to ensure accuracy and this one was spot on.

Edit: GMG makes it pretty difficult to determine which probe is right for your grill. going up to 4 stars because I don’t know if this probe doesn’t work or if it’s wrong for my grill.Reads 000 degrees and doesn’t change with temperature. Eventually, the grill turns off because it thinks it’s not getting up to temp. Big waste of time and money. Don’t buy this to save on shipping or cost, because you lose in the end.

I have a Jim Bowie and tried the second sensor. The old sensor has a reading it’s just wrong. The new sensor is all 000! This was the second one I ordered. So now I’m going to measure the ohm readings at the outdoor air temp and determine the type of sensor it is. I’ll follow up with you!P-1209 Is the part number you will need! Not this one. Just an FYI!

The product worked as expected and when time comes, I’ll probably buy it again.
