Replacing the OEM style is a hassle but if you replace it with this one, the first time you can just pop it off and clean it when you need to instead of buying a new one every so many months kinda looks cool too I guess. Way easier to put on then The internal type and fits right on my 2015 Prius two.

For those of us who have had our Prius for 10+ years, since it didn't come with filter, our HV battery fans will already be somewhat dirty and starting to clog, therefore, installing this will require cleaning very often, I thing every 1000miles or so, otherwise and additional clogging in the air intake may cause the battery to overheat. Ideally, we could take the Hv battery fan and clean it before installing this filter, but we just gotta keep an eye on it for the next free months and stay in top of it.

Fit my 2013 base model prius no problem. I doubt it'll filter dust but should at least keep hair and fur out of the system.

Snapped on easy and fits perfectly. Time will tell if it actually filters dust particles overtime. For now I’m happy with it and would recommend.
