Somone gave me an older Olympus E-510 camera, and I needed a cord to transfer pics to computer. This cord fit just fine, and I was able to make the transfers.

My son asked for a digital camera and advised he 'didn't mind' if it was an 'oldtimey' one, as he was looking for certain aesthetic in the pictures he would produce.I was sure I had seen one of my old cameras in my bedside table drawers, sooo, off I went to source said camera for him....I found it amongst my other priceless antiques and presented it to him forthwith. Alas, we found the battery no longer functioned as it had been an age since it's last use. We purchased a battery charger and new batteries (a tale for another time).We also found the camera sorely lacking an SD Card. We found several pictures remained on the camera from the second hear of my son's birth. Indeed, dear reader, the selfsame son who will soon enter his 15th year, and for whom I had first procured the camera. And now, many years since, we had these forgotten memories returned. We wished to play with the camera, but were afraid to lose the pictures...And now we come to the reason for this purchase dear reader...Having searched high and low and the various junk drawers in the home, we found, to our dismay, that whilst we did possess many older cords, we had none so old as to fit into our elderly camera.AFTER a copious amount of research we found that this seller proffered the very cord we wished to possess.We purchased the cord and it was shipped with great alacrity, and happily received within the time specified. Once opened, we found the cord to be EXACTLY as advertised...in short, dear reader we were gladdened by our purchase, and it was all that we had hoped! We would recommend it to others.

If you know you need it, you know you need it. Otherwise, you probably don't need it. I really dislike proprietary cables, and I wish everything used USB-C. However, it's cheaper to buy a $8 proprietary cable to revitalize my old Olympus camera than buy a new camera, and better for the environment as well.5 stars because this fulfills its purpose and is exactly what it says it is.
