My bearded dragon is full grown and a little too big for the basking platform, but it looks great in the enclosure and the slate tile on top heats up nicely when positioned under the heat/light dome. The product fits the online description well and appears well made. I looked at a lot of options and chose this one since it was one of the larger basking spots for sale on Amazon and looks good. My only wish is that this item came in an even larger version.

Now that I bought this she has turned it into reptile retreat lol. She loves the cave to sleep and hide in and the stone is very effective for holding heat so those cold nights she stays toasty warm and will even bask on top of it when she gets comfortable. Great product should of bought this when I first bought her.

I really like the slate set up. However, it’s much smaller than it seems and even though my Beardie is on the small side it’s still too small for him. I can’t see an adult bearded dragon being comfortable with this.

It is on the small size for an adult but I bought 2 and placed them back to back. Don't place basking light directing over it. Slate will get too hot. Place next to it instead and the slate will stay around 95-99. Slate will give off some steady low heat as it cools off when you turn off the lights.

Works great for our baby but as he grows will need to get a bigger one. Retains heat for him to absorb

The slate doesn't fit in the hole properly but i got over that. However, it doesn't heat up as it should. It doesn't provide heat for my dude in his basking spot, which is disappointing. BUT he loves going in the hide, hence the reason for the 2 stars.
