T8 Strip Light Fixture
T8 Strip Light Fixture, 15W has a low profile and sleek design. High Output Light Fixture for your reptiles with convenient on/off switch. Use With one Rainforest or Desert 18” T8 UVB light bulb, 15W (T1815/D1815 sold separately). Ideal for terrariums with metal screen cover.

Convenient to use: High Output Light Fixture for your reptiles with convenient on/off switch.
Warning: After the lamp is inserted into the lamp holder, turn it 90° clockwise or counterclockwise, and then turn on the power switch after hearing the “squeak” sound. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, burnout of the lamp, or even fire. Keep away from any combustibles.
Use With: one Rainforest or Desert 18” T8 UVB light bulb (sold separately)
Ideal For: terrariums with metal screen cover
Arrange decor inside terrarium to create hiding places and shaded areas to allow reptiles to move away from the UV lamp. In nature, reptiles will bask for part of the day and then move into the shade as needed
Installation:
- Review the instructions prior to plugging in and powering on the hood fixture.
- Install 18” REPTIZOO T8 UVB bulb (sold separately) into fixture.
- Place fixture on top of metal screen cover.
- Do not place fixture in direct contact with water.
Bulb Replacement:
- Power off and unplug light fixture. Allow bulb (sold separately) to cool.
- Turn and remove used bulb.
- Install new bulb.
- Plug in light fixture and power on.
Caution:
Never place a light or light fixture inside a habitat. A hot light bulb can harm your pets.
To reduce the risk of fire - to use only T8 type 15 watt max lamp and 120V~60Hz.

Just completely stopped working. Went through 4 bulbs and different outlets… it’s been like 14 months I’ve had it. I live in the middle of nowhere and my frogs have now been without UVB for 2 weeks. Not happy.

Got this fixture as a replacement for my old one. The "heat shield" is made out of plastic, seems odd. Used a bulb that this fixture is rated for, and after a single day of use, it melted through the shield and warped the outside of the hood. Something in the socket must have melted as well as the bulb cannot be removed anymore. Do NOT recommend.

My daughter and I have a pet frog from Africa named jack and he is 7 years old now. His light on the condo tank we bought him died, so this was a good fit, since the led light bars have to be replaced when they burn out, not just the cheap bulb. I am so glad it works and it doesn't over heat the tank.We don't want frog legs for dinner. Cooler bulbs and brighter is what he likes and he is spoiled. He acts like a human, so we try to take care of him with all the comforts of home, his home. Thanks for the good light!

*EDIT** Well Reptizoo reached out and did return it for a brand new fixture. Which I am happy with and it is working perfectly fine. Started to notice the UV start to dim and when I checked it was starting to spark on one side. I cant even return because its a month pass the return date. The bulb I used was the correct bulb size and strength. The bulb still works .

Bought this for an aquarium because the aquarium one I bought didn't last long. Uses the same wattage as the bulb I have and works great.

Well built fixture to fit a 18" T8 UVB bulb, i dont see a external starter so it seems to be a digital ballest. I dont see a metal reflector but it still reflects the light very well.
