At first I could only rely on the temp being accurate, after abt 2-3weeks (can’t rmbr exact) the humidity readings started to read accurate readings… I’ve had them for abt 6mo now, both still work great and have had no issues

I bought this for a friends aquarium for the hermit grabs, and it does a great job monitoring his temp for the tank.

I have been renovating reptile terrariums lately and needed additional thermometers and thermometer/hygrometer combo units in order to monitor temperature and humidity levels more closely. Over the years, I’ve purchased the typical big brand names as well as various generics and although they have worked alright for the most part, I’ve been a touch underwhelmed by them. So, I decided to test out a few new ones this go around.I settled on purchasing a Pangea digital thermometer:https://www.amazon.com/Pangea-drt-1-Digital-Reptile-Thermometer/dp/B079HDYPQH/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8(2) Inkbird thermometer/hygrometers:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0140UC9XQ/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1a Reptizoo Digital Display Reptile Terrarium Thermometer Hygrometer with Suction Cup (it has a reticulating arm):https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KDQMVVZ/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1and one of this unit (Reptizoo Digital Thermometer Hygrometer, Maximum and Minimum Temperature and Humidity).The first Reptizoo combo unit (the one with the articulating arm) was DOA (the battery cover failed to put pressure on the battery so it lost contact with the electronics and, hence, it wouldn’t turn on) but Amazon replaced it. The second one also had the same type of issue although it would stay on for a bit before losing contact and switching off. I was really disappointed that they didn’t function correctly as I like the design of the units.I installed this unit in what will be my daughter’s corn snake’s permanent enclosure an inch above a new Zoo Med under tank heat mat and below a heat lamp. The unit felt solid and I liked the fact that the probes are heavier and thicker than the average probe that comes with these types of units. However, I knew there was a problem with it when it only registered 81.2°F after being in the tank for half an hour. I double checked the temps using both the Pangea thermometer (a great little unit) and the Inkbird combo unit - and they both registered 110°! The humidity, however, was on target (within 1/2% of the Inkbird’s measurement). So, like the only other reviewer at this time, I found that while the hygrometer appears to be accurate, the thermometer is way off target (by nearly 30°!). Given that both Reptizoo models I purchased are defective, I will not purchase this brand again (though I would buy both the Pangea and the Inkbird).

For the reviews saying it’s off by 30 degrees.. I’m guessing they did not set it correctly. IN is for inside temps and OUT is for outside temps.. it has and reads two separate readings… inside the tank and outside. I’m very pleased with mine as it’s accurate with both my temp guns. I do recommend

Not sure how accurate it is because I have 3 different ones not the same brand and they all read different. Very annoying

This product has performed as advertised. The easy to read display lets my son monitor and maintain the temperature and humidity of his crested gecko habitat.
