It took less than 10 minutes to set it up. We have it set up on a 5 gallon tank for a baby turtle. Our turtle goes straight to basking when we turn it on. This heat lamp came with 2 bulbs as well as the light fixture. It would work on all sizes of tanks as long as you are able to clamp it to the side. It doesn’t have a timer or control to set it to specific temperature. Make sure the heat lamp isn’t too close to the basking area your pet will be on because it can cause burns!! I also recommend waiting at least 1 hour after turning it off to touch it because it gets very hot.

This light is perfect and is the perfect size. Functional yet not so clunky and big. It heats up great and is a good value for the money.

I have a musk turtle and he loves to get under light and bask. Also warms water a bit. Make sure not to handle when on as it will burn fingers. Easy on and off switch and the clamp for installation is very easy to use. I have my turtle in a 7gal tub at moment bc he is so small. It works great.

I really like the adjustable feature. My box turtle likes to bask under it. My only concern is the lack of cover over the bulb, exposing the bulb itself, which could be easily broken.

Lamp itself upon first impression works well and seems to put off some decent heat. However, one of the two bulbs arrived damaged. The filament in it was broken and it wouldn't turn on.

I bought two of these for my leopard geckos and less than ten seconds after I plugged them in they were burning hot, smelled like melting plastic and metal and just absolutely were not safe. If you care about your reptiles do not risk purchasing this

It's a perfectly usable lamp but they shipped mine with no bulbs. I did eventually get a replacement but that's not ideal, is it?
