This is my second time buying this lamp. The first one I had for quite a long time at least three years before it finally gave out. Although this dome does not have a dimmer which could be a good thing because those things are usually a fire hazard, it gets really hot in my snakes habitat. I would encourage you to give it a go.

I didn't get the metal hanger shown in the picture. Not sure what happened to it but that was pretty annoying. Not sure if it's possible to get one separate but some help here would be appreciated :/
