I have a bug hunter. He wants to be an entomologist, so we do this every day. We’ve had every container under the sun—hard plastic, soft mesh, black, white, clear, twist lids, zippers... and on and on. This is by far my favorite for travel. It's small enough to fit in his 10L backpack. We have larger ones, but they don't always allow us to pack other things. I can fit a few other containers with this one folded up. Plus his water bottle and snacks. It's really sturdy when opened, and the zipper is great quality. I love the viewing window, which you don't find on other products. The handle makes it easy to carry, and ours has lasted a long time. This is a winner and a must-have for any creature hunter out there!

I got this to house a venus fly trap, and some flies. Before that I had a terrarium tub, but that was tricky. It was hard to get the plant out to trim or even just water it, without the flies sneaking out. We had some D.hydei fruities in there, and some smallish house flies. This enclosure lets in plenty of sun for the plant, and even when I re-pot it to a bigger pot, it should be tall enough and leave enough floor space inside for some feeder bugs and their food/water. It's too cold here to plant it a VFT outside, but there's a nice windowsill shelf it fits on almost perfectly. I've been able to tend the plant (trying hard to not kill it) and not even one bug has escaped. It is easy to open the zipper just enough to reach in there. This is working out very well.

I needed a relatively small tent for some Black Swallowtail caterpillars I found on a dill plant in the yard. This turned out to be perfect for the 5 I had. 3 of them decided to attach and pupate on the upper corners of the tent itself (coincidentally the same level/height, one on each corner, its pretty cool). The other two attached to the branches I provided. Overall this is small and I would even get the larger one as well if I notice more eggs or caterpillars this season. I love the clear viewing side, the zipper provides easy access, and the tent can even hang off of something if that is what you need. Keeps insects out, or in (haha) nice fine mesh but still plenty breathable.

We put our ghost mantis in this and it's perfect. It's the perfect size, I like the shape, it's nice that it has a clear panel for viewing, the mesh allows airflow, and it has a zippered side for easy access. I also like that the bottom isn't mesh so the substrate we put in it doesn't fall through the bottom. Would have loved to have gotten one in a larger size for our larger mantis but there wasn't one.

This mesh habitat is wonderful for Monarch Butterfly eggs, it is very suitable to travel with, I have ordered over a dozen habitats & I will definitely recommend this high quality habitat for your needs.. Wonderful product!I originally ordered a large habitat & the smell of chemicals was so overwhelming that I returned it to the other site after rinsing and leaving it out for a week, it was not safe...This product is perfect! Thank you kindly, “5†stars & very well deserved!

I ordered this set after the purchase of another fell through. A little smaller than what I was looking for, but it got the job done and I was able to track my butterflies after they cocooned. Great quality and the price was good. The zipper enclosure opened wide enough so that I was able to transfer the cocooons without too much trouble. The sheerness allowed us to get a good look at the action

Got this small mesh enclosure for a praying mantis. It does the job, seems to be breathable and one of the 4 sides is a clear plastic, not mesh, so you can see inside a bit better. Because the walls are rounded they do not come together at a point on the top and ther is a small mesh square with a handle, this was a plush because our mantis likes to be upside down. One mesh side has a zipper that runs from the bottom left corner to the right and up the side giving more than enough open to put both hands in. Have not had any issues with the zipper opens and closes smoothly. The base is made of a thin flat nylon, no mesh. It is easy to clean and perfect for our mantis. Would buy again if/when needed.
