Headline says it all. A transceiver with the most basic of features (for a modern radio) that simply works well. Power is sufficient and receiver sensitivity is OK too. Antenna connector is just a threaded stud... so it won't connect to coax. The charging port is just a mini-USB connector that can be very conveniently charged from any standard USB power source. Would recommend to anyone needing basic handheld marine communications.

Works well! We had one from West Marine and this one is better!!Many more functions.Love that it's always scanning, and monitoring main marine stations.Haven't dropped it in the water, so can't comment in waterproofing.
