These bags are the best way I have found to cook sous vide! No need to evacuate the air or seal. Just put the food in and lay the extra bag over the rim of the water container, put the lid on and you're done. I have the large size. So much easier than what I was doing before! Also they are easy to clean-the silicone is smooth and the food residue comes off easily. I wish I had found them sooner-I love them!

Exactly as described. Came quick, very thin so should be pretty much the same as vacuum bag without all the single use plastic. I bought the extra large and large bags. Extra large is huge and in use in the pictures, large is maybe 1/2 gal, not sure but good size. They don't pass the stretch test, but I am not convinced that is relevant. They are currently sous viding a nice stew for me at 185 deg for 24 hours, easy to clean and no worries of plastics from zip lock or vac bags getting into food. Magnets are super strong and hold tight through my plastic container and both layers of the extra large bag.

This bag does not seal so I had to clip it to the side of the container. Also I added a metal knife to help weigh it down since it does want to float. A butter knife helped keep it down and the meat cooked well. Cleaning was easy enough but it os more labor intensive but that is the trade off with the plastic single use bags. The meat was tender and juicy.

So far I've used these for steaks, fish, scallops, brisket, a leg of lamb, and they have held up beautifully. They are so easy to use compared to the typical vacuum sealer/plastic bag setup, even easier than just using Ziploc with the water displacement method. I wish I had invested in these years ago, they're total lifesaver. And as a bonus, they're zero waste! I do wish the packaging had also been zero waste, but I'll take what I can get. If you're hemming and hawing, unsure whether these work or are worth it, take my word for it- these are amazing and totally worth their reasonable price, especially since you never have to use plastic again!

A medium prime rib fits, can be sealed with rubber band, easy to wash because it’s flexible, very thin for good heat transfer and molds to shape of food. Thinness is a concern for sharp points in food (pointy bones) so take care when using just like a plastic bag. Overall a very good sous vide accessory

These bags are just too short to be able to use them and keep water out by folding them over the edge. A decent sized roast just won’t fit. These are fine for small things though but the large bag really is not large at all.

Normal food grade silicone is odorless. These smell horrible, like melted plastic before they were used. Smell remained after thorough washing so I threw them out. I don’t trust anything that smells like that to be used for cooking my food.

Saw an article and scientific study on brewing Kombucha in silicone bags and decided to try it out using these bags. So far the process has only been going for 2 days but it is working great. The brew is healthy, and the silicone is allowing a pellicle to start forming around the entire bag from the bottom up, instead of just on the surface like glass brewers.I ordered the Extra Large set which includes two bags. They easily hold 1 gallon of tea as well as 2 cups of starter and a thick pellicle.
