The network port is extremely useful and potential way of reducing hardware costs. Scenario is a medical practice where front desk staff can share a scanner instead of a 1:1 ratio of scanner and computers. Confirmed working with ECW SaaS and the network port.

I've been keeping all my paper bills in sorted files for the last couple of decades, and it's reached a point of critical mass in the last year: My office is impossible to use with all of the files and papers!I did a bit of research and found that the older model of this scanner was highly recommended for fast, networked, full duplexed scanning with a large Automated Document Feeder (ADF). The price was a bit higher than I really felt that it should be for what it is, but after buying it and using it, I've found that it's worth the money, hands down.Pros: Small footprint, fast, networked, large ADF, full colorCons: Software is somewhat lacking, Network is wired only, not a good browser-based web UI for itFinal thoughts:If you're like me and you are drowning in stacks of paper, consider this scanner. I will say that I didn't find any of the included software would be able to meet my needs/desires for digital organizing, and there are limited options relative to this in the general market. Being a software engineer myself, I have started to build a browser-based tagging and organizing system for this. But there may be other simpler options for you depending on your needs and desires.

Purchased this after seeing a review on Youtube regarding the ease of use with scanning cards in top loaders, semi rigids, and even in penny sleeves. It works... Sometimes...It jams about 75 of the time. And when it does go through, your top loaders & card savers will get scratched. Tried running some penny sleeved cards through it and sometimes it would work, but other times it would get stuck on a penny sleeve and ruin the sleeve, sometimes the card. Mind you I made sure to test with junk cards. Glad I did.Another issue I had is, when the cards finally scanned, sometimes they would come out slightly distorted or over stretched. See the pictures attached. None of these pics have been modified by me. This was the results I got from the scanner.Lastly, if you're going to scan a Prizm or Chrome card, they will come out VERY dark. Again see attached pics. The software was not the best, very clunky. But it is the free version. They do have a premium paid version which I'm sure is more intuitive.I'm back to taking photos in a well-lit area. I get much better results, but it is time consuming.
