Needed to make 4 AWG welding leads. Assembly was simple and required nothing more than a metric hex key set. The cable fit into the socket with ease thanks to the included sleeve. The rubber boot is keyed, and the keys are marked on the face, and slips over the hex lug by placing the end of the lug against a hard unmovable surface and pushing the rubber boot on.Perfect replacement and fit for my Harbor Freight welder.

Made up a spare set of welding cables with these connectors and they worked fine. Good fit and contact surfaces.

The connectors that came with my welder I'm not going to specify the brand but it's on the cheaper end came with connectors that didn't really feel like they seated very well. not knowing the difference I didn't have much faith in dinse connectors at all. After changing to these connectors I found that these seat really nicely and they don't feel like they're going to unscrew on you nor do you have to put a ton of force on them to get them to tighten. If your factory connectors suck buy these they'll be better.

Grabbed these and a set of jumper cables 4ga snipped off the clamps and installed these ends. Hooked up to my welder and saved me about;$40. The jumper cables were $18 for 20' long leads vs. $50+ for raw #4 cable or welding leads. Worked great.
