When working with wood, you can pressure fit these kind of rivets. In metal, not so much. The knurling on the outside of the barrel is quite precise. Do not overdrill the hole as expanding the hole goes from rivet does not fit to rivet spins and has no stability. The rivet was fine, but be very careful to avoid operator error. There is a bit of the rivet that does not have threads but a #10 screw does fit provided you seat it correctly. If you find resistance, try again.
