I have a 2012 mk 6 VW GTI, and the dealership was quoting $800 to replace the vacuum pump because it was leaking oil. After some research I discovered that these vacuum pumps leak because the gaskets fail, not the pump itself, so there’s no reason to replace the entire pump. This kit was pretty easy to install, but I needed to reference a few videos on youtube to figure out everything that I needed to disassemble. I needed to remove the fuel pump first, which was easy enough, then the vacuum pump. The RKX video instructions for the rebuild are great and I appreciate the provided torque specs for the bolts. It’s been 3 weeks since installing this kit and the oil leak is completely fixed.

Perfect, tight fit on all gaskets supplied. Easy install with YouTube video, so far, so good. No leaks from the vacuum pump and no leaks from the back of the cylinder head/valve cover.

Appears to be quality material. Easy to install and solved my oil leak on a VW Tiguan 2.0 TSI. If you have any type of mechanical aptitude, this is a good first choice to replacing the pump at $250+ before labor. The vendor also has videos to help if needed.

Still leaked after installation on my 2010 VW Golf GTI. So I just bought a new vacuum pump and it fixed the leak.

It was easy to uninstall (2.0 TSI VW 2010) and install new gasket and Oring. Will see what happens.

All the parts fit, a little pricey for what you get but better than the option of replacing the whole pump, easy way to fix a major oil leak, fast delivery from supplier
